Since 2001, the Van Zandt County Community Partners have worked almost exclusively on behalf of the ABC Room (nee Rainbow Room).  ABC stands for A Better Childhood, and that is what we are determined to provide for these precious children.  

 

Through the ABC Room we have served countless numbers of abused, neglected and at-risk children. Begun as an emergency resource center, our programs have grown since our humble beginnings.   We have provided emergency resources for children taken into state care, established a program to assist with the expense of summer camp for Van Zandt County foster children, assisted in graduation expenses, prom and more. Foster children aging out of the system have few resources and thus, through various partners we have held, or facilitated Emancipation Showers, helping foster children to begin their new lives in either college, or independent living. We have provided Christmas for children as late as December 24 – to ensure that every child in care knows that someone cares!  The programs that we offer are varied, and of course are dependent upon the support we receive.  We are a 501(c)(3) and your donations are tax deductible.  

 

It is important to note that the Van Zandt County Community Partners ABC Room receives no State or County funding.  We depend on the generosity of those who believe that every child matters, that no child should suffer at the hands of an abuser.  We are thankful to those who give....for the love of a child.  Corporate Sponsors
